Clever consumers

The second volume of "Le Consommateur malin face à la crise" from the publishing house Editions L'Harmattan is set to hit the bookshelves, with Méthos' Jean Baptiste Welté contributing a chapter about the sporting goods retailer Décathlon. The second volume, like the first, describes the strategies consumers have developed to become “clever” and analyzes the meaning they attach to their choices in these times of crisis.

Jean Baptiste Welté spoke at the annual congress of the French Sociology Association in Nantes. He presented an article on morning commutes, a subject we researched at the crack of dawn, accompanying Parisians in that moment of transition between home and workplace.
